A modern residential area was developed in Niittykumpu, Espoo, near the metro station in the Niittykallio neighborhood. The area includes As Oy Espoon Vaununkulma, Kisko, Raide, and As Oy Espoon Niittykatu 8, all part of the same block.
Project Features:
- The development comprises three point-access buildings, a long lamella building shared by three housing companies, and an underground parking facility.
- The buildings range from 6 to 9 stories in height.
- The project includes multiple civil defense shelters, with the deepest basement structures designed to be waterproof.
- The foundations employ a variety of techniques, including concrete and steel piles as well as ground- and bedrock-supported footing foundations.
Structural Design:
Nodetec Oy was responsible for the structural and element design, leveraging extensive Building Information Modeling (BIM) throughout the project.
The project began in 2018, and the final residents moved in during the summer of 2022.
