Our expert services also include third-party reviews of structural designs and structural safety assessments for large-span buildings. It is worth mentioning that even designs created by our own engineers have been thoroughly tested and reviewed by external inspectors in several projects.
The inspection process includes comparative calculations performed, as needed, using FEM software such as SCIA or RFEM, manual calculations with our in-house tools, or other applicable calculation methods. The scope of the inspection is defined according to the order and can cover areas such as foundation designs, structural strength calculations, and review of manufacturing and installation drawings for steel structures.
Recent projects where our engineers have acted as independent structural design reviewers include:
- Equestrian arena: External review of glulam frame and foundation structural designs, Järvenpää, approx. 1,530 m².
- Balcony glass railings: External review of designs for multiple projects in Helsinki.
- Large-span buildings: Two projects in Vantaa, approx. 4,500 m² and 15,000 m².
