A 1970s concrete building, Building 18, used by the Jäger Brigade, underwent a comprehensive renovation. The project, which began in 2022, was carried out in three phases. During the renovation, two sections of the building remained in normal use by the Jäger Brigade, while work was conducted in one section. The barracks accommodate approximately 470 personnel in total. Nodetec was responsible for both structural and geo-design for the project.

Renovation Details:

• The barracks underwent a thorough renovation, including repairs to the drainage system and improvements to ground surface slopes.
• Ventilation and windows had been upgraded in a previous renovation in 2014, leaving other aspects to be addressed in the 2022 renovation.
• Special focus was placed on ensuring healthy indoor air quality and optimizing space usage in line with a new concept.

Key Information:

• Total cost of the project: €8.3 million.
• The phased approach allowed the Jäger Brigade to maintain operations in the building throughout the renovation process.
